Being There, Being Real…

By

What do you do to be involved in the community?

To me, being involved in the community means becoming the kind of person people think of when they need a safe space—a place of comfort, a listening ear, a warm heart. I want to be someone who feels deeply, speaks from the heart, and offers genuine care—not just in words, but in presence.

It’s not always about financial help or material things. Sometimes, the most meaningful contribution is giving your time, your empathy, your love—the kind you hope to receive in return. I believe being part of a community means showing up as your truest self, without pretending, without masks. That honesty, that realness, is what connects us on the deepest level.

Maybe it’s not the most conventional way to contribute, but it’s mine. And maybe, just maybe, that’s what truly matters.

Wouldn’t you agree?

Totally agree. In a world that is becoming increasingly distant – we can choose to go against the current. Swim upstream- be the one who connects.

Exactly! It takes courage to swim upstream, but the connections we make by being present and real are what truly matter. Thank you for resonating with that.

100% I true feel giving your ear to someone, trying to put yourself in the other persons shoe, means a lot at times.

That ‘s perfect way of expressing, yet the thing that matters is how much that we can practice actually

    This is good.

Also it goes two ways as you mentioned. Being a good listener and helper and expecting the same in return.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Saku. Sometimes, just strolling through a park and exchanging a smile or a simple “hello” with those who pass by can lighten the soul in the most unexpected ways. It’s amazing how such small gestures- effortless, even can bring life and warmth to the path we’re on. Love what you write. Thank you for sharing them.
